Movie Night Recipes (video)
Hi everyone! I just posted a new video: Vegan Snacks for Netflix/Movie Night. Here are the relevant recipes and some photos from the video, as well as a link to the video. Enjoy!
Cheesy Pull Apart Bread:
1 loaf of bread
2 tbsp vegan butter melted
1 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, mined (suggested)
Cut bread in a diamond pattern, cutting to the bottom but not all the way through the loaf (as shown in the video). Ina small bowl, mix the melted vegan butter with the basil and garlic. Brush the vegan butter/basil/garlic mixture over the top of the loaf, and drizzle it throughout the cracks. Stuff the cranks with some shredded vegan cheese (I use Daiya mozzarella shreds) and bake at 350F (180C) for 10-15minutes until the cheese is melted and loaf is toasted. I recommend dipping it in marinara sauce for an extra twist :).
1 cup cashews
1 cup walnuts
2 1/2 cups medjool dates (pitted)
3/4 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt

In a food processor, chop nuts until they are in very small pieces. Set aside in a bowl. Blend the dates until they become a thick paste, then add the cocoa, salt and finely chopped nuts and process until a thick dough forms. Press into a cake pan and put in the fridge for 10-20 minutes. You can put icing on them if you like. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freezer up to 3 months.
